Career Counselling Session

Career Counselling Session at Amrit Indo Canadian Academy A highly engaging and informative career counselling session was held at Amrit Indo Canadian Academy, on 23rd April, 2025, featuring distinguished guest speaker Dr. Sonika Sharma, Professor, Food and Nutrition, PAU, Ludhiana. Dr. Sharma, delivered a comprehensive talk on career opportunities in the field of Community Sciences. The session's theme centered around career counselling , with a special focus on courses offered at the College of Community Science, PAU Ludhiana. Dr. Sonika Sharma guided the students through various aspects of the admission process, including important dates, eligibility criteria, and the scope of different programs. She particularly emphasized self-employment-oriented fields and inspired students to explore diverse career avenues such as Fashion Designing, Apparel and Textile Designing, and Nutrition and Dietetics. Brochures outlining detailed information about available courses and admissions were distributed among the students, making the session more resourceful. The interaction between the students and the guest speaker was a key highlight, as students actively participated and asked numerous questions, which were addressed thoughtfully by Dr. Sharma. Towards the end of the session, the Principal Madam extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, encouraging students to seriously consider the career paths discussed during the session. As a gesture of appreciation, a token of appreciation was presented to the guest speaker. Overall, the session proved to be highly interactive and beneficial, especially for the medical stream students. The enthusiasm and curiosity among students were evident, and many expressed keen interest in pursuing the suggested career paths. It was truly a wonderful and enriching experience for all attendees.
