Details: Amritians showcased their dexterity in the CBSE North Zone Chess Tournament held at The Millennium School, Kurukshetra. Outwitting about 50 schools participants in 6 different rounds, the brainy Chess masters of the academy secured 2nd position in the tournament by beating Sanjay Gandhi Memorial School, Shivalik Patiala School, DAV International School, Amritsar, Greenland Public School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana and Manav Mangal Smart School, Mohali by the margin of 4-0, 4-0, 3-1, 3.5-0.5 and 3-1 respectively and made it to the national level.
Overwhelmed by this remarkable performance of the students, the Principal, Ms. Jaskiran Kaur said,”The students are really making the academy touch the unprecedented heights.” Mr. Navjot Singh, the Director of the academy, congratulated the winners on their thumping victory whereas the President, S. Harminder Singh, wished the Chess masters for the reiteration òf their splendid performance in the national level too.
